Seventh Generation

We spent the past CLIC week creating a youth line for Seventh Generation.  This was an incredible authentic learning experience for VDS students.  Below you will find our week in pictures.  I could not be more excited for the 2/3 class – WELL DONE!

Arriving at Seventh Generation!

Checking out where the magic happens – the scientests!

Chris was teaching us about recycling and waste.  This waste basket serves 40+ people in their office.  Seventh Generation really lives their mission – so impressive.

Brendan teaching us about packaging and marketing before he presents us with the problem!

On our way back to VDS to start working on our problem!

This is where it all began, four groups with four brain dumps!

Raegan and Charlie created a bathroom kit.  This is a kit where small squeeze bath toys in the shape of a leaves are pre-filled with shampoo, conditioner and soap.  When the soap is all used up you would still have bath toys to play with.  They included suction cups on the back of the leaves so kids could reach it in the shower.  They decided their kit would be a great gift or travel/overnight kit.

Fran and Reesa worked on changing the packaging.  They made fun colored bottles that would match the scents of the cleaner inside.!  Fran and Reesa also changed the labels of these cleaners to include pictures of children so kids would be more excited about purchasing and using the products.

Eva and Izzi Created a new product line they called Super Spray!  Every item is sold in a fun shaped spray bottle with amazing designs to match.  The line included spray body wash, spray hand soap, spray desk cleaner and spray carpet cleaner.  Eva and Izzi said this would attract young consumers because spray bottles are fun to use!

Danae, Felix and Ezra created a kit.  Their kit was called scent your own soap!  Their project included designing a new package, deciding on soaps that would be inside of the kit and choosing which scents would be most popular.  This group said their product would appeal to kids because kids like to experiment and mix things.
