Welcome to the 2/3 blog 2017-2018!  This week we spent time learning some math games and activities that will help us stay fresh on already learned facts and skills.  We started word work and focused on beggining blends by playing a Lotto game, sorting blends and some of us created words with blends.  In writing we journaled as we are continueing to work on stamina.  Our independent reads have been just right choices!  Many of us are on a second or even a third book.  We log our books on a library card and when we finish a book we make an entry in our R2R journals.  We continued to focus on theme in reading and added supporting evidence.  The 2/3 class had been learning and practicing spelling routines.  

 

It has been an amazing week and we are settling into our routines with our classmates!
