Math

Green Team – We have spent the week learning everyday math routines.  We have been practicing number of the day and our fluency fact tickets.  The day starts with completing the number of the day which includes writing the number in words and in expanded notation, adding 10 subtraction 10, adding 100 subtracting 100.  Next the team sets a timer for five minutes and practices addition fluency.  If there is time left the team chooses a game from the addition container.

Red Team

The red team also spent time working on routines with practicing math fluency.  The team also jumped into multiplication and learned it represents groups of objects.  The red team was also introduced to arrays.
