Spanish News

iHola Familias!

Your students have been focused and eager to learn in Spanish class and have made great strides in just a few weeks!

We have learned fall Spanish vocabulary through games, interviews, literature and writing. We are currently in the throes of creating fall leaves and writing about what we like to do in the fall. Students will present their fall posters to the class inĀ  Spanish.

Each Spanish class, the students begin by answering at least three preguntasĀ (questions) in Spanish on a whiteboard. They may need to write the day of the week, record their age, or draw and label the day’s weather. Your students are gaining confidence in writing in complete sentences in Spanish and are eager to share their responses with the group.

We are also working on math concepts (mas or menos) and playing games with colored tiles to reinforce counting, addition and subtraction skills.

Next up…a unit on school, classroom objects, cooperation, and classroom manners.

Adios for now!
