In writing……..

We have been working on writing our personal narratives for the past couple of weeks.  We have written the beginning which includes: the hook, topic sentence and the setting. We are currently working on the middles of our stories, the art where all of the events happen or the details.  We are writing our stories on paper first and then typing them into a google document.  We took a break from our stories today and practiced writing from different perspectives.  I would show them a picture of a kitten and they would do a quick (2-4 mins) write in response to a certain perspective.  For the kitten we were writing from the perspective of a mouse and then from the perspective of a little girl in a pet store buying a kitten. Another one was about pizza and describing the pizza from a person who had been shipwreck for two months and then from a person who had just had a stomach virus.  This was a great way to get our minds ready for thinking about perspective in the form of writing.
