Spanish News

iHola Familias!

The 2/3 students are rocketing through our fall unit. They are able to enter the classroom, read 4 or 5 questions in Spanish (Cuantos anos tienes, Que dia es, Que mes es, etc..) and answer in complete sentences. They are also truly enjoying our math activities (adding and subtracting simple numbers) using color tiles to practice the concepts of mas (more) menos (less) and iguales (equal to). We will be moving on to mejor que (more than) and menos de (less than) number sentences within the next few weeks.

This week, I will be conducting a short assessment (fall matching vocabulary and a short writing assessment of what your child likes to do in the fall).

I am EXTREMELY impressed with your childrens’ abilities to read and write with fluency, engage in our daily activities, and ask clarifying questions.

Next up, a fun and fast mini unit on Halloween and Day of the Dead before our unit on school and classroom objects.

iAdios for now!
