Artists painted their planets for the Winter Concert! Observational painting is great practice and definitely a good challenge!

 

Oil Pastel Mittens!

Artists used oil pastels to design a colorful and cozy mitten. The objective is for artists to learn how to properly use oil pastels and design a visually interesting mitten with color and line. When artists finished coloring their mittens they prepared for the next step. Artists cut out their mittens, chose a colorful piece of paper, and used white paint to splatter paint snow. Next class, artists will cut out a tiny snowflake and glue everything onto a background. Keep an eye for the finished products!
