This week in STEM, the 2/3 class finished their flying toys – come see them on display in the STEM room! In addition to their toys, the 2/3s also wrote a paragraph describing the name of their toy, the purpose of the toy, the intended audience, the materials used, and the science behind how it works (including thrust and lift). Some toys are gliders, some are moved by propellers, and some by catapults. They did a wonderful job applying what they learned in this project about forces, and how things fly, in order to design and build their toy. Congratulations to all of our engineers and builders!
