The 2/3 class completed a fantastic study of sound and musical instruments of the orchestra,  culminating in a “create your own instrument day” with many amazing creations resulting!  We discussed families of instruments,  the variety of sound and the many ways of producing sound, with special attention to VIBRATION,  the SOUND CHAMBER,  and CHANGING SOUND.

We are now beginning to review rhythms and note reading and starting our study of the recorder as a way to enjoy that process!  Be ready for the sounds of “Hot Crossed Buns”,  “Lucy Locket”, and “Long-Legged Sailor” in your houses at home…

We have been singing some wonderful Song Tales including The Derby Ram,  The Bear Song,  and China Doll.
