Goal = 360 lbs  Collected = 420 lbs!!

The Vermont Day School second annual food drive was a huge success!!  The 2/3’s brainstormed how to acquire food and then each student made a plan about what would work best for them.  We had some who went door-to- door, others asked family.I think most all went to their own pantry and some even purchased food to donate.

While brainstorming we had a thoughtful discussion about WHO will get this food.  It was very surprising to most that some of the food would go to people who have a home and who work and have a family.  Most of us assumed that this food went to folks who were homeless.  What an amazing experience this was for our class that brought us awerness on such a large global issue.
